Game Night Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
In short: Game Night runs card, dice and board games between phones. Our server keeps the games you play, the name you choose to show and the game nights and tournaments you set up. There is no real money, no chat, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell anything.
What Game Night does
Game Night lets friends play card, dice and board games together by sharing a short code, with computer players filling empty seats. You can also set up a weekly game night or a tournament. Poker uses play chips only; no real money is involved and nothing can be bought or won.
What stays on your phone
- The last name you typed, the codes of your games, game nights and tournaments, and a secret seat key for each one so the server knows the moves are yours.
- The app's own files, so it opens quickly.
What is stored on our server
- Games: the name you choose to show (up to 20 characters), the players at the table, the game itself (cards, moves and scores) and a game log.
- Weekly game nights: the name, game, day, time and your phone's time zone, the members' names and the season's results.
- Tournaments: the name, format, players, rounds, results and winner.
- Secret seat keys are stored only in scrambled (SHA-256) form. Each phone receives only its own view of a game, so other players never see your hand.
Other players at your table, game night or tournament see the names chosen by the people in it, the game and the scores. There is no chat or messaging.
Services we use
- Vercel hosts the app's web pages and keeps standard request logs, such as your internet address, browser type and the address requested.
- Supabase runs the game server and database, and keeps standard request logs.
- "Add to Google Calendar" opens Google Calendar with the game night's name, date, time and link, only when you tap it. "Calendar file" makes the file on your phone.
The app loads no outside fonts, scripts, ads or analytics.
Device features
Game Night does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or notifications. "Invite" uses your phone's own share or copy feature.
What we don't do
We don't show ads, track you across apps or websites, build profiles, or sell or rent any information. There is no account to create and no real-money play.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- Game tables that nobody has played for at least 3 days are deleted automatically.
- Leaving a game before it starts removes your seat; when the last person leaves a game or a game night, it is deleted. Weekly game nights and tournaments are otherwise kept so their standings stay available.
- "Forget" in the app removes a code from your phone only.
- To have a game night, a tournament or your name in them deleted from our server, email info@spargurtax.com with its code or name. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
Children
Game Night is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
